Arcade Nurse

The switch over is been made. Everything is set (including some last minute changes). I’ll start doing some final tests tomorrow lunch time and the switch over should be made by 6pm.

Just had a little plat around on the beta version of Arcade Nurse 2 and I must say for me anyway its great. Easy to use, just need a little bit more graphical improvement.

Tomorrow should see the launch of the first public viewing of Arcade Nurse 2. I’m quite excited to show people what I’ve been work on. =] Watch this space.

Some of the work which has been added today includes a new ajax rating system using jquery allowing anyone to rate a game. This gives us a better recommendation system so we can promote the more popular games to users, and remove games which are performing poorly.

A chatbox has now been added allowing users to chat with each other. It updates in real time and adds an extra element to the website

Finally some hidden changes (well to the average user) fixing some security holes.

Its now 1 in the morning, think its about time to stop for a break now?

General
- There will be a general chat box throughout the whole site which will allow users to talk to each other.
- The page will expand so any size of game will fit.

Searching
- You can search by a selected categories
- Displays most popular games, which can make it easier for you to find better games.

The Games
- Games are split into categories
- Games have a description
- Games have an image
- Games have a rating, given voted for by the users.
- Games have a comment system allowing people to express there feeling about the game.

Statistics
- Games now track how many times they have been played.
- Games will track how long they have been played for.

Finally after months of planning and sorting sections out we have been able to make huge leaps of progress. Not long now until we release all of what we have been doing to the public.
